Bio

My parents immigrated to the United States from Chile in 1973. I was born in New York City in 1978 and grew up in Boston, Berkeley, and Seattle. I received a BS in psychology from the University of Washington, a PhD in social psychology from Yale University, and completed a postdoc at the Kellogg School of Management. In 2009 I married my wife Li and our son Thomas was born later that year. In September 2010 I joined the management faculty at HEC Paris as an Assistant Professor and in November 2013 was promoted to Associate Professor. In September 2014 I joined the faculty at INSEAD as an Associate Professor. Our second boy Louis was born in 2015 and our daughter Carolina in 2018. Outside of academic pursuits I enjoy traveling and spending lots of time with my wife and children.
